Dear Residents,
As part of the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP), Hertfordshire County Council is consulting on proposed improvements to walking and cycling routes across the county. This plan is intended to guide future investment in active travel infrastructure over the coming years.
While the current proposals include improvements to London Road within the village perimeter, it’s concerning that key areas we’ve consistently raised remain unaddressed. Most notably:
The entrance to Foxholes Farm, which has long been a safety concern, has again been overlooked despite repeated efforts to highlight the issue. Pedestrians are currently forced to cross the road at this junction, which has been identified on numerous occasions as a particularly dangerous area.
Walking and cycling routes to Hertford and Hoddesdon have been omitted, even though they are vital connections for residents and should be prioritised for safer, greener travel.
This is our final opportunity to have a say and shape the outcome of the plan.
We urgently need your help to highlight the issues that matter to our community. The survey closes on November 5th, and your feedback is essential. Please click on the link below to be taken to the survey and for further details and maps on the planned improvements.

Public comments are the only way to ensure our concerns—such as road safety and missing walking and cycling routes—are properly addressed. Please take a moment to share your views and make sure these priorities are not overlooked.
Thank you for your continued support.
