Funds are limited, so applying for a grant is a competitive process judged against the quality of other bids.
Projects funded must meet a number of criteria and must clearly demonstrate how they would directly benefit people who live in the Parish. Applicants must be established for charitable, benevolent, social, cultural, recreational or philanthropic purposes and demonstrate clear aims and objectives.
The Parish Council urge all groups and organisations within the village to apply for a grant from them. Grants can be for anything such as funding towards equipment, days out or training. In recent years grants were awarded to the Primary School and the Village Hall committee to carry out some essential maintenance work.
